Recently, Project Bravery had the opportunity to set up and meet the public at the "Touch a Truck" event held at the Lincoln City Community Center on June 24. Families had the opportunity to look at -- and in some cases tour! -- all kinds of service vehicles in Lincoln County, including a Lincoln County Sheriff's patrol car and boat, Lincoln City Fire Trucks, a school bus, the Arts Bus from Oregon Coastal Council for the Arts (OCCA), sanitation and recycling trucks, and many others. Many families with young children were in attendance, and the Project Bravery table received a lot of traffic... as well as a lot of horn honks and siren blasts from the sheriff's vehicle nearby!
Project Bravery will also be in attendance this Friday afternoon, June 30, for the "Touch a Truck" event sponsored by the Newport Recreation Center and held in the parking lot of the Newport Performing Arts Center from 3 PM to 5:30 PM. Hope to see y'all there!
